A Word a Day!

Hye kids! Ismal is here with a new column 'A Word a Day' where I'll teach you guys new word to enrich your vocabulary.

And by the end of this class, you can easily use the word I've taught in your daily conversation! Amazing, right?

Alright, the word we're learning in this post is chesté (chess-tay)

Before we get any further with the usage and meaning of the word, it is very important for us to know the history of the word.

History

It started in a nice and cold Small Business and Entrepreneur lecture where Lina and I were talking before a foreigner came to the front to meet our lecturer, asking questions maybe. We can't help to notice how he didnt button that much on the upper half of his shirt (it wasnt just him I think, most foreigners do so) thus I made this comment;

'Oh, I can see his hair-chest!'

Lina and I were silent for awhile considering I mentioned a wrong term to describe all that ruffles coming out of the button opening.

'It's chest-hair, Ismal. Chest-hair' said Lina, with her English speaking diva flair.

'But, it's so hard to pronounce Chest-hair' I said, before I got the revelation. 'How about Chestair?'

'Ahhh..' Lina gasped as she always does. 'Chesté!' screamed (quietly) both of us. For some slight moment, we were hoping for Nobel prize for coming up with a new word. No, no. Not just a word, a cool and hip word!

Awwryte.. since we've known the history, origin and the meaning of the word, let's see the usage of the word;

Usage & Examples

1. 'No, I don't have any chesté!' said Lina defending herself from rumours saying that she's a man.

2. 'OMG, a squirrel can get lost in that
chesté!' said Jigo, looking at Vicky while crinkling his nose, uglily.

So kids, don't be shy to practice our new word. If you can't get rich with money, you can always get rich with language! Until now. Adios!
:)

'OMG, cheste is like the in thing rite now!' - Lindsay
