Hate is a strong word, and as strong as it could be, the union will be much stronger when it is formed out of hatred.
The simplest situation we can get in our everyday life is like this. A is an acquaintance to B, barely speak, much more to know each other's likes and dislikes. But one day, A got to know that B hates C, whom A hates too. A will definitely think that B is on his/her side, and they connect, to hate C even more. (this can be a positive story, depending on who A and B is) :P
Therefore, you can see. How many UTP students unite for causes they build upon hatred.

However, to Acap's supporters, I hope the union that we have built, is not because we hate 'mereka', or external entities that somehow matters, but it is because we like Acap. We believe that his mere participation in the election is to bring change that we all have hoped for (though it is not in a year to come). And we love Acap for having the guts to stand on that stage, being bombarded by that so called Muslimah, but at the same time, still so forgiving.
Success will come, InsyaALLAH.
